CSKX has been shortlisted for the Tesco's/Groundwork 'Bags of Help' project to support local community groups. Through May and June 2018 you could vote for the Sense&Memory project at Tesco's stores in central and north London. Voting is now over and we are waiting to hear the outcome.
Sense&Memory is an arts project for younger and older participants, working in collaboration with artists to creatively explore personal responses to different sensory stimulation.
Working together with Kentish Town Community Centre (KTCC) and in collaboration with London-based artists employing a wide range of creative practices (photography, video, sculpture, sound, dance/movement, drawing and painting), we will engage older and younger community members local to KTCC in a series of arts-based sensory workshops over a six-week period, bringing intergenerational community members together to creatively explore memory and experience, working toward a final exhibition/event and celebration.
The support gained through Tesco's will go toward undertaking workshops and rolling out the project across the community.
CSKX Studios is currently in discussion with a number of Camden community groups and centes, schools, a health centre, a care home and local artists to devise and undertake arts-based workshops. These will be advertised here and promoted through our partner organisations. Please return to this page for details or get in contact for further information.
If you would like to discuss working together or collaborating on a project please get in touch.
All our projects are dependent on available funding. If you are able to support our work, we look forward to hearing from you.
